Consistency…
This is one attribute I really love, about myself (yes) and people who eventually become my friend. That they can consistenly be themselves no matter how weird.
Don’t get it twisted, I appreciate change, making adjustments, innovations. But you See, these terms are oftentimes mistaken for fluctuation.
Yes!
And so trying to account for some our inconsistencies you hear stuff likeโฆ
“I just needed a change”,
“I tweaked it a bit”.
“Let’s say it’s the new me.”
You know, these leave me wondering how many more “New Yous” I’ll have to deal with.
- Today you are blazing hot and the next you are ice.
- Today you prefer blue and the next it is white you’ll die for.
- “You are the best thing that ever happened to me” and tomorrow is “have we met?”
- “Introvert today, extroverted the next day, introverted-extroverted the following week.
Pheeeww!
Can you just stay at a place please?
You are messing with my head trying to store, process and recall all these details.
What sef?
Then after this stage is the silence. I do not bother again. I delete even the archive and get a breathe of fresh air.
Sorry, but I’m not sorry.
You fluctuate.
You are inconsistent.
