JUNE

Who would have thought ehn…

It’s already our third month of sitting home, working from home, social distancing, Zoom meetings, webinars, fitness and fashion challenges, online courses and trainings, virtually, EVERYTHING VIRTUAL.

For some of us, it has been a great time reevaluating our value system, culture, purpose and impact.

But yet again, it has also been a time for terrible things to resurface and skyrocket.

There was the:

* Organized robbery and terror that was unleashed on occupants of Lagos and Ogun State by cultist groups.
* Formation of street vigilante groups to repel attacks and foster defense of residents.
* The skyrocket of positive Corona Virus cases, and just recently
* The racist killings and rapes.

Fam!
Sickening has to be the understatement of the century from what I feel!

* Killing of a young teen by trigger-happy policemen!
* Rape of minors by able-bodied men!
* Rape and murder of an undergraduate in a church!
* Rape of a girlfriend by boyfriend!
* Killing of a black man by a white cop!

PLEASE make it make sense to me.
Because sincerely, it doesn’t!

Where exactly did we loose it?
           Most importantly
How exactly do we return from this doomsday?

The outrage out here is stiffening!

Of course, I will be addressing all you requested me to in your feedback from my last post https://randommusingswithjess.home.blog/2020/05/26/this-june/ and the previous one https://randommusingswithjess.home.blog/2020/05/23/where-you-weigh/.

And so, for every Saturday in this month of June, I will be sharing my views and life experiences on:

* Trends (Social and political vices)
* Relationships (Communication/expression)
* My obsession (Food, football and volunteering)
* Generic pressure.

            June has to be better.
             June must be better.

                     This JUNE…
                       Let’s TALK.

  4. When I consider all that is happening, I just feel so worried that we might not get out of this. It’s becoming a norm. More like the ‘new-normal’ and this is sad
